Often run by marques like Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Lotus, Maserati, Lancia, Mercedes-Benz and BMW, but can also include American brands General Motors/Chevrolet, Pontiac and Ford. 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of LeMans and 24 Hours of Daytona are famous sports car races. The Rolex Series, the SCCA World Challenge, and the Trans Am series are also sports car road race series.
