Ringbrothers Unveil 1969 Mustang Mach 1 Nicknamed “UNKL”

The world-famous Ringbrothers are half custom car builders and half-mad scientists.  Their latest creation is a 1969 Mach 1 Mustang known as “UNKL.” The car was unveiled today at SEMA in the Flowmaster (Holley) booth and boy was it a sight to see. The Mustang’s body was widened and every panel showcases its many sponsors giving it a classic race-inspired look.

Under the hood sits a 520-cubic-inch John Kaase Boss engine pumping out 700 horsepower. Mated to a reworked Bowler six-speed Tremec this engine and tranny combo is heavy-duty. Getting to the power to the ground is a QA1 carbon-fiber driveshaft.  “UNKL’s growl comes from a custom stainless-steel Flowmaster exhaust. Prestone coolant keeps the engine at an even operating temperature, while Motul engine oil and gear oil keeps things running smoothly. Custom BASF paint called Big Boss Blue has been laid over a smooth body, which was shaped with 3M products.

The name for the build comes from the Ringbrothers owner who enjoyed a close relationship with his uncle. The build pays tribute to his uncle’s influence on his passion for cars. The race-inspired livery continues that theme and will also serve a practical purpose when the car is used on the track.
