Kudos to JSBFoto for capturing a fantastic shot of one of America’s favorite station wagons. Well done! The Chevrolet Nomad could be one of the coolest vehicles to restore, hands down. The infinite amount of ways in which they are brought back to life is why anyone can spend boo-coo bucks in the pursuit of their dream Nomad. Maybe you remember a television show featuring a funny, DIY character named Tim the “Tool Man” Taylor and his reliable partner Al Borland? If so perhaps you can also recall the hot rod that Tim’s wife drives around on the famous TV series called Home Improvement. That was the first Nomad I remember swooning over. Maybe you remember your first encounter with a Chevy Nomad too? Regardless, today these cars are worth a ton of money, that’s for sure! So much, in fact, it begs the question: Does a person buy a good, solid, previously restored car? Or do they find one to fix themselves? I suppose that all depends on how many old barns you’re aware of with an old, vintage Chevrolet Nomad buried in the corner.
