The 2019 Ford GT was already one of the most serious supercars Ford ever built, but the Lightweight Carbon Series takes the “less is more” approach a step further. Barrett-Jackson will offer this 2019 Ford GT Lightweight Carbon Series, chassis K063, as Lot #742 at its Las Vegas Auction, September 10-12. It crosses the block without reserve. Under the hood is Ford’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Lightweight Package adds carbon-fiber wheels, a titanium exhaust, titanium lug nuts and a vented lightweight engine window. This GT is finished in Liquid Blue Tricoat with exposed gloss carbon fiber, orange accents and orange Brembo brake calipers. Inside, it gets a lightweight Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and six-point harness anchors. With just 1,102.7 miles, the one-owner GT has never been raced and has spent its life in climate-controlled storage and at car shows. It also includes its documentation, cover, battery charger, two keys and service records. For a car built around saving weight, this one also came loaded with options, including an $18,000 lightweight engine window, $14,000 protective film and another $22,250 in options. Now, it’s headed to Las Vegas looking for a new owner.
