I Bought it on RacingJunk: Dan Lisella’s G-Body Beast

In our new column, "I Bought It On RacingJunk," happy customers share their "toys" and triumphs, all of which were facilitated right here on RacingJunk. When we talked to Dan Lisella about his G-Body gem, we knew we had to feature it in our new column. Here's Dan's story on how he acquired the car! We bought the car on racing junk in the top picture as a roller, traded a 64 el Camino for a Scott Shafiroff 540 on racing junk as well, rebuilt the engine to handle 3 kits w/ a glide behind it, in the effort to get the weight down to the 3000pd mark for drag radial competition we went with a glass deck lid, doors and clip, the bottom picture is what the car looks like now, when my Dad was still around he always loved G-bodies and would cruise on racing junk looking for deals or anything he wanted, when I would get home he would have a bunch ads to look at and ask which one are buying next, so of course when he found this one we bought it, we do all our own fabrication, engine work, etc. on all our builds, the site is awesome and loaded with just about anything a car guy needs. that's my Dad on the left at the last March Meet before he passed. I'm sure that's way too much info but figured id share it with you while I was cruising down memory lane finding the pictures to send ya,  thanks! Click Here to Begin Slideshow
