DSR Performance Unveils Fresh Series of Schumacher Crate Engines

The DSR Performance Schumacher SC engine

DSR Performance, born as the performance aftermarket arm of the championship-winning racing entity, Don Schumacher Racing, eagerly presents the all-new Schumacher Crate Engine Series. This latest series embodies the unparalleled performance and driving finesse anticipated by restomod and modern performance aficionados within a DSR Performance-crafted GEN III engine. However, it brings amplified horsepower, augmented durability, and simplified handling to the table. Crafted, machined, and assembled in-house at DSR Performance’s headquarters in Brownsburg, Ind., this premium line of crate engines promises top-notch quality.

The debut lineup comprises the Schumacher SC, a supercharged 426 cubic inch GEN III crate engine, and the Schumacher LB, a 426 cubic inch GEN III long block. The Schumacher SC astonishes with a horsepower range between 1200 and 1300 HP (subject to calibration), running smoothly on 93 octane pump gas and E85 fuel. Meanwhile, the Schumacher LB, akin to the SC’s long block variant, includes the oil pan to valve cover setup. Both the Schumacher SC and Schumacher LB made their grand debut on Friday, Dec. 8 at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show in Indianapolis, and are now available for viewing online.

The Schumacher Crate Engine Series masterfully merges performance and drivability, offering enthusiasts a blend of refined boulevard cruising and unbridled V8 power.

Additionally, DSR Performance has innovated and authenticated performance enhancements for both the Schumacher Series engines and the 6.2L OEM platform, such as CNC-ported cylinder heads, a ported supercharger, and a billet crankshaft.
