We have a winner! Michele Abbate, a road racer from Henderson, Nev., has won RacingJunk.com and InTech’s third annual “Max the Tach” sponsorship program prize. The program lets voters from across North America choose one grassroots team from the USA or Canada to represent inTech Trailers and RacingJunk.com during their 2019 racing season.
As the winner, Michele will receive a state of the art, custom-built 28-foot inTech car hauler with a retail valued at over $55,000. The four remaining top five candidates for the win will be offered an Emerald Sponsorship from inTech.
The top five were quite a varied lot, with racers from many fields and a wide range of ages. They include Lane Christensen, a seven-year-old quarter midget racer from Pendergrass, Ga.; Thomas Blore, a drag racer from Islip Terrace, N.Y. who drives a true stick shift street car he’s built over the last six or seven years; Tracy Gaudu, a time trial racer and USAF veteran from Johnson City, Tenn.; TJ Ward, a 12-year-old honors student and junior drag racer from Wilcox, Ariz.; and of course Michele Abbate, who is the owner and driver for her race team, GrrRacing.
You can learn more about the top five racers here. Below, you can watch the announcement video, including more background on Max the Tach and the racers involved (starts at 2 minutes). Congratulations to Michele, and thanks to everyone who participated in this exciting program!
