Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD) will be celebrated on July 8, 2016 this year. This “holiday” has been celebrated each year since 2010 at the request of SEMA by a U.S. Senate Resolution, recognizing that the “collection and restoration of historic and classic cars is an important part of preserving the technological achievements and cultural heritage of the United States.”
As has been done in past years, a wide range of automotive events will be held across the country to celebrate the day. Over the years as the event has continued to grow, states, provinces, counties and cities have began hosting their own recognition events. SEMA encourages participation throughout the entire month of July to honor the classics of the past and future and the enthusiasts that keep the hobby alive.
