It’s been a fun season for those of us following the Ultimate Streetcar Challenge as it moved from track to track across the country.
Sports Car Racing
Racing featuring two-seated sports cars with enclosed wheels. Often run by marques like Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Lotus, Maserati, Lancia, Mercedes-Benz and BMW, but can also include American brands General Motors/Chevrolet, Pontiac and Ford. 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of LeMans and 24 Hours of Daytona are famous sports car races. The Rolex Series, the SCCA World Challenge, and the Trans Am series are also sports car road race series.

NASCAR Formalizes Safety Rules
In the wake of last weekend’s tragedy at Canandaigua Speedway in upstate New York when Sprint Car driver Kevin Ward Jr was killed, NASCAR has announced that it will be adding a new rule to improve safety at its tracks. The rule, listed as Section 9-16, will apply to all NASCAR racing series effective immediately.
