With more Manufacturers focusing their efforts on electric vehicles in the future the NHRA is doing the same. The NHRA has announced the formation of an all-new electric vehicle (EV) racing class that will join the NHRA Summit Series in 2022.
The NHRA makes a bittersweet trip to Atlanta Dragway this weekend for its third race of the 2021 Camping World Drag Racing Series season – and the track’s 40th and final annual Lucas Oil Southern Nationals on the soon-to-be-closed dragstrip.
Well, that didn’t take long! After sitting out the first two NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series races at Gainesville and Las Vegas, six-time Pro Stock Motorcycle champion Andrew Hines and four-time titleholder Eddie Krawiec will return to competition for the balance of the NHRA Camping World Pro Stock Motorcycle season.
After a month-long hiatus between the season-starting NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series race and its second salvo, the schedule is morphing into a more familiar cadence, as teams have two weeks between last weekend’s DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals and NHRA’s final visit to Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA for the Lucas Oil NHRA Southern Nationals
As the stars of the NHRA would return to one of the most iconic drag strips in the country, two former champions would drive to their victories of the 2021 season at the DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
