The 5 Best Places to Take Your Classic Camper/RV

The US is made for road trips and RVs. There’s really no better way to explore our amazing country then to pack up your camper or RV and head out on the open road. Few modes of transportation offer the same freedom and comfort as traveling in a RV do. The possibilities for adventure while traveling in a RV are endless, so we took a little time and put together our favorite places to travel.

Route 66
It isn’t called the Mother Road for no reason! The 2,448 mile route will take you from Los Angeles, CA to Chicago, IL or vice versa. Along the way you’ll be able to explore small towns and cities, landscapes that will take your breath away and all the “cheesy” roadside attractions that America loves. Are you ready to get your kicks?

Pacific Coast Highway
Known as one of the most scenic drives in America, the highway stretches from San Francisco to San Diego. Take in all that California has to offer including coastal views, redwood forests and National landmarks. Hopefully you’ll have time to stop at attractions like the Santa Barbara Mission, Big Sur, Monterey Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Glacier National Park
This national park is located in Montana and is called the Crown of the Continent. It has over 700 miles of trails to hike and explore, including wheelchair accessible ones. Take a swim or kayak around Lake McDonald or Lake Bowman. Drive along the Going to the Sun Road and be sure to take some pictures at Wild Goose Island.

New Orleans
This Louisiana city is best known for its Marti Gras celebration but it has much more to offer. Head out to the French Quarter, take a trip on a river boat, learn about Voodoo - the possibilities are endless in The Big Easy.

Berkshire County, Massachusetts
Though we may be a little biased on this location (it’s the home of RacingJunk), this is an amazing area to explore. The county in located in the western part of Massachusetts and has natural wonders along with its rich history. You can visit a museum (art or history) in just about every town in the county, drive down the historic and picturesque Route 2, or enjoy the best farm to table cuisine the state has to offer.
