The truth is, if you’ve ever drilled a hole in something, bolted it down, then had the darned thing break or fall off a few days or miles later, you’re probably looking at an article of interest.
Ponder the case of the seat belt in your vintage car (musclecar, hot rod, etc.). In the vast majority of cases, they live a tough life.
In spite of all of the above, one of the most entertaining drag races I’ve ever experienced was a local western Canadian event called “Miles of Mayhem”.
Keep the car simple, simple cars are easier to detail plus they’re easier to maintain.
