

Roush Yates EcoBoost along with Chip Ganassi Racing kicked off the 2015 with a win at the Rolex 24. The race took place at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Florida. The Rolex 24 is a grueling endurance race that lasts 742 laps which equates to 2,634 miles and spans a full 24 hours. The 02 EcoBoost car was driven by Scott Dixon, Kyle Larson, Jamie McMurray and Tony Kanaan. With wins at the Rolex 24 as well as the Daytona 500 racer Jamie McMurray now joins A.J Foyt and Mario Andretti as the only drivers to accomplish this feat. This win will also cement Chip Ganassi as the most winningest team owner in the history of the event

The Ford Group VP of Global Product Development and Chief Technical Officer, Raj Nair Stated: “We had a great car and great drivers. And, of course, we had really great power, reliability and fuel economy out of the EcoBoost. It’s a great testament to the entire team.The Ford EcoBoost has been on a roll as of late, not only winning the Rolex 24 but the 12 hours of Sebring in 2014, and is also the confirmed power plant for the new Ford GT that is rumored to be racing LeMans. The EcoBoost will hope to continue their winning in 2015 with Chip Ganassi Racing with Feliz Sebates and the Ford EcoBoost Riley prototype.
