The Borowski Race Engine prepares to head to the 2022 SEMA Show, the world’s #1 online race and performance marketplace since 1999, and award-winning race engine maker Borowski Race Engines have already given away one custom 700 HP LS engine, and are preparing to give away a second.  The engine got a brief vacation before it goes to a lucky winner, however. It travelled to the 2023 SEMA show in Las Vegas where attendees had a chance to see it in person in the RacingJunk booth (#24211) and learn more about it from Borowski Race Engines President Joe McCaul. Bow, the engine is getting ready to head to the 2023 Performance Racing Industry show in Indianapolis at the beginning of December where the ultimate winner will be announced in the RacingJunk booth on Friday December 8 at 1:30 p.m.

Launched October 24, 2022, the engine giveaway contest  celebrates the race community as embodied by this high power, high performance engine. The engine, a 700 HP LS Street Engine valued at approximately $17,495, features a FAST XFI Sportsman EFI Engine Control System, a custom COMP Cam & BSR Shaft Rockers, FAST LSXR Intake & 102MM Throttle Body, FAST XR-1A High-Output Ignition Coils, and RHS LS3 Cylinder Heads that were ported on Borowski’s 5-axis CNC.

“This engine has become a best seller since we launched it three years ago,” explains Joe McCaul.  “Our CNC machining, parts selection, expert assembly, and dyno tuning allow us to obtain power and performance using a stock block that is normally only achievable by OEs by using power adders. Plus, it looks great. We really need to give a shout-out to COMP Cams as this engine is loaded with their COMP, Edelbrock and FAST branded products.”

“We are pleased to be partnering with RacingJunk and Borowski Race Engines again this year for another exciting engine giveaway. The Edelbrock Group (parent company of COMP Cams) is always looking for creative ways to show off our products and they do a tremendous job educating the public on why our brands are necessary if you want to go fast reliably. Additionally, we enjoy hearing the stories of the winners and the car they put them in,” said Steve Braun, Head of Brand and Digital Marketing for the Edelbrock Group, when the second engine giveaway was launched.

The engine has been a popular prize amongst race and performance enthusiasts who dream of track days and street cred. That was certainly true for Randall Sipes, the recipient of the original giveaway who installed his his customized engine into his 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The team at Borowski Race Engines modified his build for boost and E85 with higher flow fuel injectors and some other tweaks. Randall went with the optional FAST LSXRH intake manifold to match up with his existing serpentine system.

“It’s great to see the excitement around this engine,” says Scott Stetz, Director of Sales and Business Development for the Internet Brands Auto Classifieds sites. “Having it in our booth at SEMA has been a great way to start conversations about race and performance, not to mention partnerships. It’s always a draw, and I’m sure it will be again this year, not to mention the thrill of announcing a winner at PRI, the home of the race and performance enthusiast.”

The engine giveaway runs through November 30, 2023. To enter the giveaway, click here:
