Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week: Tonya Kay with Grape Space Coaster Buick Riviera

The Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week is me, Tonya Kay with my own 1965 Buick Riviera. Photography by full time automotive photographer, Mike Ditz, at the California Dreaming mural in Los Angeles, CA.

I’ve owned my Riv for 11 years now and I lovingly named her the Grape Space Coaster. Do any of you remember a kid’s show from the 80s called Great Space Coaster? Their theme song was legit super funky early 80s style, “Get on board!”. Well, I remember that show and the theme song and how could I resist switching up the first word to Grape for my car!?
I decorated with disco dingle balls and some really fun LED effects lighting for the white interior - let me tell you, this hot rod blasts off like a space ship, but also has the glow and style to claim the title, too.

  Hi Tonya, love your pictures with classic cars. You’re add caught my eye because I grew up in California. I hot rodded around in a 69 GTO. Around 500 hp. Not bad for the day. Also my last name is Kay. I still mess around with cars. I am restoring an 81 corvette. Just finished putting a new motor in it. It’s my retirement project.

    500 hp isn’t bad for any day. You know, we had a 69 GTO in our family, too, when I was younger. It was painted orange so of course I jumped in and out the windows ala Dukes of Hazzard. Funny how cars in media really left a huge impression on me. It’s nice to meet another Kay and CONGRATULATIONS on your retirement. An 81 Corvette engine swap sounds like a wild ride. Tonya ! There is NO substitute .No add ons,no bolt ons, or tats,just a very fit gal.From one gym rat to another,I know the descipline it takes to have a tummy like that.And those eyes just ooze confidence and sophistication.Need more of you Doll !
