Paul Lee Returns to Phoenix as Defending Champion with Mainline Sales Backing

Defending event winner Paul Lee is heading back to Firebird Motorsports Park this weekend for the NHRA Arizona Nationals, looking to repeat last year’s breakthrough performance in Nitro Funny Car. Riding with him once again is Mainline Sales, Inc., returning as the primary partner on the Paul Lee Racing machine. Lee captured his first career Nitro Funny Car Wally at this very event in 2025, marking a turning point for both the driver and the Paul Lee Racing (PLR) program. Now, the team returns to Phoenix with momentum—and a fresh Mainline Sales livery that reflects the continued growth of the partnership.

“Coming back to Phoenix as the defending event champion is really special for our entire team,” Lee said. “To have Mainline Sales and their manufacturing partners represented on our Funny Car makes it even more meaningful. Our program is built on creating real business-to-business opportunities, and we’re proud to keep building those relationships.” Mainline Sales has been aligned with PLR since the team launched in 2019, making this weekend’s primary sponsorship a natural evolution of a long-standing relationship. The updated 2026 paint scheme features Mainline Racing branding prominently on the hood, with additional partner logos showcased across the body.

The Phoenix race also coincides with a major milestone for Mainline Sales—the opening of a new 25,000-square-foot warehouse facility. “This race is especially meaningful as we celebrate the opening of our new warehouse,” said Alicia Sylvester of Mainline Sales. “It’s exciting to share that moment with Paul Lee and our partners. Our program continues to grow, and race weekends like this energize both our team and our customers.”

Joe Libman added that the expansion will allow the company to operate more efficiently and better serve its territory, while continuing to benefit from the exposure and relationships built through the NHRA platform. The partnership between Mainline Sales and Paul Lee Racing highlights how motorsports can go beyond the track—creating real connections between manufacturers, distributors, and customers.

As Lee returns to the site of his first Funny Car victory, the focus is clear: defend the title and continue building consistency in a stacked Nitro Funny Car field throughout the 2026 NHRA season.
