There’s no question that the recently-ended partial government shutdown was a disaster for our most precious national resources: our national parks. 35 days with nothing but patchy volunteer cleanup and monitoring has done damage that many in the Park Service say will take years to remedy. Nissan and the National Park Foundation (NPF) are teaming up to help.
How Can You Help?
Nissan announced recently that they will double-match any donations made to the NPF via their Calling All Titans website through the end of this week. Nissan has also announced that they are organizing groups of volunteers around the country to pitch in and help clean these once-pristine landscapes so succeeding generations can continue to enjoy them.
Nissan kicked off the campaign in January 2019 after market research showed that Nissan Titan® customers “are driven by improving the world around them.” Nissan is celebrating these owners as TITANS of the community, neighborhoods, and the outdoors. Nissan also announced it is giving $1 million each in donations to the American Red Cross for disaster relief, Habitat for Humanity and the NPF as a way of thanking them for their continued service to the community, the neighborhood and the great outdoors.
All this “because a TITAN is more than just a truck.”
