Last Call: 2023 Dodge Demon 170 Set to be Auctioned in Las Vegas, Benefiting Children in Need.

The 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 is a special edition vehicle that marks the end of an era for Dodge’s powerful muscle cars. It is part of the “Last Call” series, a collection of seven special editions bidding farewell to the iconic Hellcat V8 engine and the Charger and Challenger models. The Demon 170 is considered the most exhilarating street-legal masterpiece to come out of the SRT laboratory.

Under the hood of the Demon 170 is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 D170 HEMI engine with internal enhancements. When fueled by E85, an ethanol fuel mixture, it generates a remarkable 1,025 horsepower and 945 ft/lbs of torque. Even with regular 91-octane fuel, it still produces an impressive 900 horsepower and 810 ft/lbs of torque. The driveline features reinforced and upgraded components, including a sturdier driveshaft and a robust 240mm rear axle with a 3.09 ratio. An 8-speed automatic transmission with configurable launch settings manages gear changes.

The Demon 170 rides on Mickey Thompson ET Street R tires, with larger sizes in the rear than the front. It features Brembo 4-piston brakes for stopping power. Dodge claims the Demon 170 can conquer the quarter-mile sprint in just 8.91 seconds at a speed of 151 mph. It also boasts a 60-mph acceleration time of 1.66 seconds.

The 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 was auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson 2023 Las Vegas Auction, with 100% of the hammer price benefiting Kristi House, a non-profit organization in Florida that provides treatment, advocacy, and coordination of services for child trauma.

The winning bidder of the Demon 170 had the opportunity to customize their vehicle to make it a true one-of-one. They could choose from 14 exterior color options or even request a custom color. Interior selections and graphics options were also available, along with the option for carbon-fiber wheels. If the winning bidder already owned an original 2018 SRT Demon, they could request to match the VIN if the corresponding number was available. In addition, the owner received limited-edition serialized items such as a personalized Demon decanter set and a custom instrument panel badge.
