1. How is SportTruckRV is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of working with customers?
SportTruckRV has made an extensive effort to enable “contact-free” client and employee interaction, vehicle presentation, and purchase closing. We have our offices sanitized twice daily, we have a hand washing station at the entrance, we have a glove and mask policy for all test drives and we have a rotation of staff working from home in order to limit exposure for our customers. Our product specialists are very proficient at utilizing digital tools such as email, Facetime, Zoom meetings, virtual product tours and virtual training walk-arounds. This enables our customers the details needed to make a confident purchase without actually visiting our dealerships. We also implemented a “Shop from Home with FREE Delivery” program. This enables our customers to order or custom build a Renegade RV, SportTruck or an ATC trailer from the safety of their home. We take care of the financing and delivery the unit to their driveway.
2. Have people been expressing an interest/need for RVs and trucks to get away/self-isolate?
Many of our clients are preparing for a redesign of travel post Covid-19. The limitations and risks of air travel, lodging, and public exposure may not diminish for quite some time. This emergency has brought into focus our dependence on these facets of travel. It has caused many to re-think both their long term preparedness and short term response. The heavy duty versatility of the Renegade Super C RV’s make them the best suited RV for those anticipating low impact vacations or emergency preparedness.
3. What are the practical aspects of delivery?
We can deliver to just about any location in the lower 48 U.S. states as long as the delivery address is accessible, and there are no restrictions placed on the location by any governmental body that would disallow delivery. Sport Truck RV will coordinate with professional delivery drivers to bring the RV to a delivery address best suited for an RV delivery. The buyer will meet the delivery driver at the point of delivery, inspect the vehicle, and be on their way with their new Renegade. We will provide the buyer with resources to educate the buyer on the operation of their new RV including a Facetime walk around training. In order to be delivered, the buyer will have paid in full for the RV, and must understand that they will be the owner of the RV prior to it leaving our dealership. We will handle all the proper purchase documentation via internet and overnight mail prior to shipping the RV.
4. How has your business changed in the past few weeks?
We have seen an obvious decrease in walk-in customers but our website inquiries have continued to be strong. With many individuals finding a bit more idle time on their hands, we are finding many clients doing research into the Super C RV product. The appeal of the high quality, versatile, and durable nature of the Renegade RV lineup is reaching more potential buyers who are curious and now have the time to educate themselves.
5. Are there other things that your business is doing for customers right now?
We have all of our Freightliner service bays open and our Certified Master RV Technician available to assist any Renegade customer. We have also instituted a new Consignment program that enables customers to consign their RV with us without leaving their home. We are going the extra mile to ensure that our dealership is conscientious with distancing and disinfecting. Velocity Vehicle Group of which we are a part, has instituted very strict guidelines for employees and facilities to follow in order to provide a safe environment for our service customers as well as dealer visitors. Our goal is to let customers know that we are still here to help them with their current coach first and foremost, but we are here if they need a new one as well 😊. Our lot is full of new and preowned RV’s, SportTrucks and Trailers.
