The fifth and sixth generations of the Ford Mustang meant new technology (independent rear suspension)
and saw a resurgence of the vehicle's prominence on the street and strip. With a new body style that recalled the original Mustang, and a standard V-6, it had power aplenty, although it also retained the much maligned live rear axle. Instantly popular, it kicked off a muscle car craze. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2015, the Mustang is now looking ahead with Ford's Eco-Boost options, independent rear suspension, a standard V-8, and starting in 2020, an electric crossover -- the Mach-E.

Mostly stock 2013 Boss 302. 11,500 original miles. 1 of 895 Race Red. Recaro and Torsen options. I've added OEM GT500 quad-tip mufflers, a QTP active valve system for the side pipes, DOT-4 brake fluid, the Ford Racing transmission cooler, and OEM spec Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. It's been a life-long dream of mine to own a Mustang, and this one is, quite simply, the best handling live-axle pony car to ever carve a few canyons. Yes, the S550s are great too, but I hope this Boss is a forever car. Or maybe the new 2020 GT500. We'll see!

My car started life as a Roush media car and was featured in all media, videos and the Roush brochure with red stripes and with the current Black/Silver stripes for later photo shoots and media. The car appeared in both liveries in the Jack Jr video walk around of the 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=invpfVBN0e4 . Just before I bought it, Roush discovered a problem while loading their drag car for Bradenton in March 2016, to start the drag season. Instead of forfeiting the driver points they put the phase 2 package and a few other upgrades on this car and took it to Bradenton. Stephanie Davies drove the car and quickly realized she would DQ for not having a cage if she ran too fast. She let off to be safe and logged an 11.7 at 125mph.

I took delivery of the car from Stephanie at Fabulous Fords, Knotts Berry Farm after Roush was done using it as their display. I then took two days to drive it home to Travis AFB in Northern California up the Pacific Coast Highway. Since then it has been at multiple cars and coffees and I have gotten lots of enjoyment telling it’s story. Last year the car was featured in an Audrain Cars and Coffee video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOINHijOYKM and in Oct the car got to relive it’s media days when Roush attended the Audrain Concours and Motor Week in Newport RI where the car was featured on the liftgate."
