At the close of the 2021 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season, Greg Anderson won his fifth Pro Stock championship, beating four-time champ Erica Enders by 107 points. It was a huge battle between Anderson’s Summit Racing/KB Racing powerhouse and that of Elite Motorsports.
Both Anderson and Enders have primary sponsors who have backed their play as they’ve challenged one another for titles, year in and year out. In 2021, Anderson picked up backing from hendrickcars.com, the website that features new and used cars for sale by NASCAR mega-team owner Rick Hendrick. Enders has the support of Melling Performance, which celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021, just as NHRA’s 70th anniversary year took place and its 1,000th national event was held (on the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway).
For this upcoming season, Enders looks to have even more ammo available to her, now that CTech Manufacturing has joined with Elite Motorsports as a sponsor during the driver’s ninth season driving for the Richard Freeman-owned mega-team in Pro Stock. “We believe that championships are won before we live the shop, and for the past near-decade that I’ve been with Elite, we have trusted CTech and their products to organize our team,” Enders stated.
“The use of their storage solutions allows us to execute perfectly on race day, when time matters,” she continued. “We pride ourselves on routine, organization and winning, so the extreme functionality, quality of product and customer service received from CTech assists us in all of our success.”
CTech Manufacturing has long been a provider to the drag racing community, which employs its pit carts, tool boxes, garage and trailer cabinets along with other storage solutions. During the company’s 25 years in business, CTech has contributed to a wide number off championship-winning race efforts across a number of classes and categories. Elite Motorsports has used CTech products throughout its variety of racing endeavors.
According to Dean Lee, CTech Manufacturing vice president of business development, “CTech has had the pleasure of supplying a number of storage solutions to Elite Motorsports throughout the years, and we are very thankful for their continued trust. When they approached us with an opportunity to partner with a four-time champion like Erica, we knew it was too good to pass up,” he said. “We always like to say that winners are organizers, and the Elite Motorsports team is a shining example of that.”
Freeman, whose Elite Motorsports team is active in a variety of NHRA classes and categories, noted that “Every trailer, pit and garage of mine has CTech products and they always have. After working together and using their stuff for so many years, it only seemed natural to bring them on board as partners. There is a lot of room to grow within this partnership. We are really excited and proud they want to join our team,” he stated.
The NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series gets underway on the Auto Club Raceway at Pomona drag strip the second weekend of February, with the Lucas Oil Winternationals presented by www.protecttheharvest.com.
