Featured Guest: 2017 Battle of the Builders Winner Troy Trepanier
If you have spent some time on our website, or follow us on social media, you know that several of our RacingJunk staff members just spent some time at SEMA, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world.
Like many past SEMA events, this year included something special – the Battle of the Builders competition. In our latest edition of the new and improved Behind The Wheel podcast you, our fans, have a chance to learn just how 2017 winner Troy Trepanier and his staff from Rad Rides by Troy were able to bring home the win with their 1929 Ford Model A Tudor.
Established in 1995 as a father and son business, Rad Rides by Troy, located in Manteno, IL, has become one of America’s top custom automotive shops over the past 20+ years. After turning a classic rat rod in a less-than-popular color into the 2017 SEMA sensation, we just had to know how both this ride and its team builder have become such instantaneous superstars.
Tune in below to let Troy Trepanier tell you all about his all new SEMA Battle of the Builders win, as well as what his future plans are for the automotive shop that made him the King of SEMA this year.
