It's Autorama time again, and the Cobo Center is bursting with hot rods to warm even the coldest Detroit day.
Presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, and hosted by the Michigan Hot Rod Association, the event is billed as America’s Greatest Hot Rod Show, the three day event features over 800 custom classic cars and motorcycles, and culminates in the presentation of the Ridler Award, one of the highlights of the hot rod show season and the highest honor in the community. It is presented to the most outstanding NEW custom car, bringing builders from around the country and the world to the show to unveil their creations. Eight cars, the "Great 8", are chosen for consideration. The winner gets a $10,000 cash plus a custom trophy and jacket.
