Last weekend, the 2017 NHRDA season got off to an exciting start with the Desert Diesel Nationals presented by Strictly Diesel at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Ariz. This event served as the first for both the NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series and the Hot Shot’s Secret Diesel Drag Racing Series.
At those very same Sled Pulls, Amalee Mueller won in the Pro Stock and Limited Pro Stock categories, then continued her streak with a win in the Super Diesel class on Saturday. This makes her the first-ever competitor to win in three different classes at one NHRDA event.
Dustin Jackson set a new E.T World Record on Saturday, shattering Jarid Vollmer’s previous record. Jackson ran an 8.421 in qualifying, then backed it up in eliminations.
