The sights and sounds of the 5th Annual Holley LS Fest are returning to Bowling Green, KY, September 5-7, 2014! The only “All-LS” powered celebration in the country will once again take place at Southern Kentucky’s historic Beech Bend Raceway. Last year was huge and the crew at Holley is putting it in high gear to make the 5th year anniversary of LS Fest the best yet!

LSFest Drag Racing

Scoggin Dickey Drag Racing
Lingenfelter Performance is bringing two new drag classes to LS Fest for 2014 to make making it more enjoyable for participants and spectators alike. The new C7 Corvette and the COPO Camaro classes will add additional flavor to the existing field of drag cars. Download the C7 Rules Here.

The PAC Racing Springs Pro Extreme Drag class continues for 2014. This class pits the fastest LS cars on the planet against one another in an 1/8 mile, head-to-head, open rules format to see who has the ultimate LS. This makes for a total of nine drag classes over the course of the three day event which also include the 5th Gen. Camaro Challenge, LSX All Motor, LSX Drag Radial, LSX Real Street, LSX Rumble (index) and True Street classes. LS Fest remains one of the four races comprising the Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series.

Holley LS Fest Autocross

Autocross and 3S Challenge
For those who’d prefer twists and turns, the QA1 Autocross course will put technical vehicle handling to the test. In addition, all LS Fest autocross competitors are invited to compete in the Baer Brakes 3S Challenge, a three-part competition combining elements of an autocross and a speed-stop event into one. Holley introduced the 3S Challenge in 2013 which stands for Speed, Stop & Steering. Like the autocross, the 3S Challenge puts the limits of car and driver to the ultimate test.

Holley LS Fest Engine Swap Challenge

Car Craft Engine Swap Challenge
By far, one of the most anticipated events during the Holley LS Fest is the Car Craft Engine Swap Challenge. This will consist of two pre-selected teams that are presented with equally prepped, running vehicles and two GM LS engines supplied by Holley. From there each team must face off to see who can install the LS engine in place of the older engine and get it running in the shortest duration of time. Adding to the difficulty, the teams won’ t know what vehicles they’re working on until the starting whistle blows and the cars and engines are uncovered. The winning team gets to keep the engine along with the Holley LS aftermarket parts used during the swap!

Holley LS Fest Drifting

Drifting Competition
The Lucas Oil Drift Challenge brings talented drivers and their wild LS equipped imports and domestics to compete in tandem competition around a predetermined course. Competitors create massive plumes of smoke as they gracefully slide their LS powered vehicles sideways navigating the course competing for cash and Holley parts gift certificates!

Holley LS Fest Dyno Challenge

Dyno Challenge
For those who would rather not burn rubber, but still want to flex their LS muscles, the ERL Performance Dyno Challenge allows any LS Fest participant to have their vehicle measured for power and torque. The dyno challenge is open to any participant attending the LS fest. First, second, and third place awards will be given to those who pull the highest numbers in both power-adder and non-power adder categories.

Holley LS Fest Cruise

Countryside Cruise
A welcome break from competition can be found in LS Fest’s Bowler Transmissions Countryside Cruise, which gives competitors the opportunity to socialize and take in the beautiful winding back roads of Kentucky. The cruise allows competitors to involve the entire family in the event and show off the highway manners of their ride. Participants of the Countryside Cruise are also invited to compete in the digital photography scavenger hunt where a $500 product certificate is awarded to the team with the most items photographed from the list. Those competing in the LS Fest to be named Grand Champion, will also be glad to know that the digital scavenger hunt on the countryside cruise adds five points to a competitor’s overall score.

LS Fest ShowShine

Show N Shine – Vendor Midway – LS Swap Meet
For those interested in to showing off their LS powered pride, this year’s Snap On Tools Show And Shine offers 12 different classes to compete in, including “Just Because” and “Under Construction”. Experienced judges will be on hand along with the Holley crew awarding special awards to their favorite vehicles.

Along with the Show N Shine, Holley has integrated an LS Swap Meet into the event for those who are looking to sell or obtain parts related to the GM LS engine. This is the second year that the Swap Meet will be a part of the event and with the growing trend of installing LS engines into just about anything, the Swap Meet can be a great resource for buying or selling parts.

The LS Fest Vendor Midway provides enthusiasts with a selection of LS engine parts and performance upgrades for the rest of your car as well. Download the swap meet entry form here.

Other special events include the Holley LS Fest Grand Champio competition, Chevy High Performance Magazine’s High Noon Shootout, Vette Magazine’s Fastest Vette, and the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational.

No matter what level of participation you feel comfortable with, LS Fest is like a horsepower show where your vehicle is the “E-ticket” ride! For more information, visit the LS Fest event website at www.lsfest.com or find them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/lsfest.
