HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS?

I grew up riding/racing dirt bikes with my father. From there my love for two wheels grew; from dirt to asphalt and now to the drag stip. My father used to drag race cars and my boyfriend, Dean Fredricks, currently races a white Dodge Dart. A†er watching him race for years I decided it was my turn to hit the track. So I bought my zx12 last year and plan to race a full season next year.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED WITH AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS?

My dad brought home my first dirt bike when I was 7 or 8 years old and have been hooked ever since.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT AUTOMOBILES/MOTORSPORTS?

I love the adrenaline. There is nothing to compare the feeling of being on a bike, hearing the wind rip through your helmet and blowing through the traps or just cruising around town. It’s truly freeing. I am happiest when I’m puGng on my leathers and strapping on my helmet.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR NEXT SEASON?

Kick some bu†! Lol my goal is to become a be†er rider both on street and at the track. With this past summer being my first season and only being able to get to the track a handful of times, I have a lot to learn about how to ride the zx12. I also have hopes to do some road race track days at Road America or Black Hawk Farms with my gsxr.

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER HOBBIES OR PASSIONS?

In my free time I enjoy designing and installing vinyl graphics. I have been known to make graphics for my bikes or vehicles and then rip them off and apply different ones…multiple times…just because I can never make up my mind, plus who doesn’t love switching things up??

ADVICE TO OTHER WOMEN IN MOTORSPORTS OR WOMEN INTERESTED IN GETTING INVOLVED IN MOTORSPORTS?

Girls, bikes are not just for boys. I can’t begin to tell you how badass it makes you feel when cruising down the return road and hearing people in the stands say “Hey, that’s a girl on that bike!” It’s up to us to put those boys in their place and make them sweat during staging, because there is nothing a guy hates more than losing to us girls. You have what it takes. A li†le practice and hard work, and you can be racing down the track or cruising the streets along with the rest of us.
