Fall racing is heating up, and there’s no shortage of action on television and online this weekend. From NASCAR and NHRA to big-money bracket racing and nitro-fueled chaos, here are a few events worth finding on the dial or firing up your laptop for September 25-27.
NASCAR Heads to Kansas
Tune in to the NASCAR Cup Series championship chase Sunday at Kansas Speedway and see who will get punched in the face next. The Cup Series event hits the airwaves live from the Sunflower State at 3PM ET on USA Network while the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series takes the green Saturday at 1PM ET on FS1.
Chaos Championship Finals — Free on YouTube
Drag racing fans have a major showdown at Cordova Dragway in Illinois as Funny Car Chaos and Nitro Chaos wrap up their seasons with the Chaos Championship Finals.
The September 25-26 event features Funny Cars, Nitro Altereds and Front Engine Dragsters, Gassers and more, with the championship-deciding action streaming live and free on the Funny Car Chaos YouTube channel.
Million Dollar Race Goes Live on Motormania TV
Bracket racers have another big one to watch as the 31st Annual Million Dollar Race takes over World Wide Technology Raceway.
The prestigious event brings some of the biggest names in bracket racing together for a shot at one of drag racing’s most coveted payouts. Fans who can’t make it to the track can see how their local hero is doing and tun in live on the Motormania TV YouTube channel.
NHRA at Rockingham
NHRA heads to Rockingham Dragway for the first ever NHRA National Event at the facility, with Sunday’s championship eliminations scheduled for FS1. Every round will be increasingly important as The Countdown to the Championship is on. A new track to nearly the entire field, only the most talented teams and drivers will be able to conquer “The Rock”.
Dirt Racing on FloRacing and DIRTVision
The weekend is loaded with dirt-track action as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series visits I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park for the King of the Arch. FloRacing and DIRTVision will also have plenty of Late Model, Modified, Sprint Car and regional racing throughout the weekend.
Formula 1 in Baku
Formula 1 takes over the streets of Baku, Azerbaijan, with the Grand Prix scheduled for Saturday morning. Arguably the top form of motorsport, the narrow streets of Baku make for an entertaining race with no margin for error and F1 Drivers having to earn their money this weekend. Coverage is available through Apple TV and F1 TV.
More Racing Online
SRO America, Formula DRIFT and countless grassroots events add even more options across FloRacing, RACER+, DIRTVision and YouTube.
That’s what makes this time of year so much fun for race fans. The major television networks have the championship battles, while streaming platforms and YouTube bring everything from grassroots short-track racing to big-money bracket racing directly to your screen.
Whether you’re watching NASCAR in Kansas, NHRA at Rockingham, nitro Funny Cars at Cordova or bracket racers battle for the Million Dollar Race at World Wide Technology Raceway, there’s plenty of racing to watch this weekend.
