Tony Stewart to Drive the Electric Cobra Jet at NHRA Winternationals

Engineered to shatter towering performance goals without using a drop of fuel, the all-electric Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 prototype has blazed through a quarter-mile in 8.27 seconds at 168 miles per hour and reached 1,502 peak wheel horsepower in recent private development testing

It seems like Tony Stewart has driven everything under the sun, well–almost everything. Ford Performance brought ALL THE Smoke down to Charlotte to test the all-electric Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 to practice for some NHRA demo runs at the 2021 Winternationals & Las Vegas. His best time in testing was 8.28 @ 169.68 mph. Sounds like he’s ready to go.

  1. This jerk should be banned from all aspects of racing after killing that kid in a sprint car race with his blatant act of anger and aggression. Now we celebrate this POS!

  2. Electric cars will kill motorsports as we know it!!! Who really cares that the Electric Motor Mustang can go fast. Try banning Nitro and Alcohol and watch how fast the fans exit the grandstands. Everyone should know that once electric cars become the “norm” we will all see how much we hate waiting in long lines to charge our vehicles. Many Tesla owners are already fed up with their cars and are going back to conventional fuel cars.
