Story Via Texas Motorplex
Classic cars are meant for cruising. Heck, new cars are meant for cruising too!
A cruise will start off the O’Reilly Auto Parts Super Chevy Show at Texas Motorplex and all Chevy and GM vehicles are invited to join the VIP drive from Waxahachie to Ennis on Saturday, May 16.
American car makes and models have changed dramatically over the years, but the American love of vehicles hasn’t changed much at all, making the O’Reilly Auto Parts Super Chevy Show at Texas Motorplex such an exciting event.
The best way to kick off a celebration of all things Chevy and GM is definitely a cruise!
Texas Motorplex plays host to the annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Super Chevy Show, May 16-17 and will kick off the event with a cruise from historic downtown Waxahachie with a special escort on Saturday, May 16. Cruisers will meet starting at 7 a.m. and will depart downtown by 7:50 a.m. to be at the track gates shortly after they open for all participants.
All pre-registered cruisers will receive a free Texas Motorplex window flag and will be allowed exclusive and instant VIP entrance through the gates of the Motorplex upon arrival. Anyone who joins the cruise but does not register in advance will join the regular line and pay the event fee at the gates as normal.
This will be the fourth consecutive year that Super Chevy Show will officially kick off with a cruise from downtown Waxahachie before the biggest Bowtie celebration takes place at Texas Motorplex.
The O’Reilly Auto Parts Super Chevy Show is a celebrating of one of America’s most popular brands. The Motorplex will be fpacked with a car show, swap meet, car corral, kid’s activities and of course, drag racing with the region’s top bracket racers as well as other family-fun food and entertainment.

Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
