Snap-On EPIQ Roll Cab & Work Center – $11,865

Seven Crazy Father's Day Gift Ideas

Call it a “hutch,” call it a “work center,” call it whatever you want, but these are the new hotness in tool storage. A wide 72″ or 84″ work center gives you plenty of space for a laptop, a soldering station, or a place to eat your sandwich. Recently, we’ve seen Snap-On offer a narrower hutch for their 36″ EPIQ series roll cabs. We aren’t sure how useful it is, but it seems to be a reasonably portable solution for trackside use, as well as a method of maximizing space in a cramped workshop. Either way, I’ve been seeing grizzled old mechanics in the Facebook tool groups go nuts for these things. Turns out it’s not just the ladies who like things that are small and “cute.” Your dad is probably the same way – remember that stray cat the he said you guys “didn’t need?” Who is that cat’s best friend now?

Thor Outlaw Wild West Edition Toy Hauler Motorhome – $261,100

Seven Crazy Father's Day Gift Ideas

Stacker trailers are cool and all, but what about hauling your race carĀ inside your motorhome? Enter the Thor Outlaw, a Class A motorhome with sleeping space for five and a garage space for your race car. With an 8’x10′ toy hauler area – complete with a built-in loading ramp – dad can’t fit a full-sized race car inside, but Legends, Bandoleros, and karts will fit just fine. Once you unload your machines, the back section converts into a spacious patio deck so dad can watch you blow your shot at winning the A-main after going too hot into Turn 3 on the last lap. Then, he can retreat to a queen bed and sleep off the inevitable hangover. Sounds like paradise!

Spencer Speedway – $1,999,999

For just under two million dollars, he too can live the dream and have a race track in his own backyard. Oh yeah, the house has a pool, too. According to the ad, the house “needs updating,” but that’s fine. Dads love DIY projects! He’d get a kick out of this gift for sure. In fact, if you asked nicely, I bet he’d even let you race there on Saturday. He may even hook you up with a couple of half-price pit passes for your crew, too.

1998 Ford Taurus NASCAR Race Car – $45,000

Seven Crazy Father's Day Gift Ideas

Once again, we’re looking to our own classifieds to find the best gift for your dear old dad. This one’s hard to beat, it’s a 1998 Ford Taurus NASCAR stock car set up for vintage road racing. This car was raced by the legendary Geoff Bodine, and was originally used by Alan Kulwicki in the early 1990s. According to the ad, it even has a few parts from the legendary “Underbird” 1992 championship car. Your dad’s always talking about how much better NASCAR was in the old days; why not give him a chance to relive the glory days of ’90s NASCAR? Even if he doesn’t actually enter it in any vintage events, he can still wheel it out of the garage and start it up every now and again. I’m sure their neighbors will love this gift, too.

Wright Autonomous Stander ZK Lawnmower – $47,000

Seven Crazy Father's Day Gift Ideas

Dads spend a lot of time taking care of their yard, and that takes precious time away from relaxing and/or working on race cars. Give your dad his free time back with this high-tech Wright Stander mower, long trusted by landscaping professionals. This one’s autonomous, though, so it’ll mow by itself – dad mows the first perimeter pass himself, and the machine does the rest. Of course, with a 40 horsepower fuel-injected V-twin on board, he may indeed want to mow the yard himself. Top scientists say that once the autonomous system is sophisticated enough to vape, drink Monster Zero, and waste all of its money on sports betting apps while owing back child support, it could entirely replace the landscaping industry as we know it (Source: I was a landscaper before they let me ruin RacingJunk with my drivel).

Mario Andretti Pace Car Camaro Pool Table – $24,995

Seven Crazy Father's Day Gift Ideas

Speaking of relaxation, who doesn’t enjoy a nice game of pool with dad? This pool table is more special than your average basement pool table. It’s slightly less likely to have junk mail and laundry piled on top of it, because it’s shaped like the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Pace Car from that year’s Indianapolis 500. It’s even signed by that year’s winner, Mario Andretti. It’s got all of the details right, from the Rallye wheels to the orange racing stripes. The felt is even color-matched to the original orange houndstooth interior of the original. The body was molded off of an original 1969 Camaro, and the headlights and taillights even work!

We all love our dads and wish we could give them gifts like this – after all, they gave the world to us. While these grand gestures may be out of reach, a card, a phone call, and a hug go a long way. I’m sure he’ll appreciate it.
