Dino's Git Down in Glendale, Arizona celebrated 15 years this month. Deemed the largest all Chevy truck show in the US the event is free to both trucks and spectators. This was our first time attending the event. Friday is all Chevy and GMC trucks only and Saturday is open to all cars that are Chevy and GMC. Visit www.dinosgitdown.com for more information

Terra Jackson took her first international trip to Japan with us in December for the Mooneyes Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show. We had so many fun adventures and photo shoots. One of them was a visit to Kamikaze Hill.

The 4th Annual Hot Rods on the Tarmac has become one of my favorite shows of the season. The event takes place at the famous Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana in July. The museum offers some of the rarest operational aircraft and vehicles in the world. Together the show offers a mix of classic cars surrounded by historic aircraft and military memorabilia. I invited pinup models Miss Babsy, Miss Magnolia and Siren to come take photos with me that day. It was there first time visiting the museum.

Speed Week is held at the Bonneville Salt Flats every year in August. The SCTA also known as the Southern California Timing Association has been the driving force behind this event. With the help of volunteers the organization is responsible for prepping the course and making sure everything is ready for this week long event. This year I decided to pay tribute to this amazing organization. I have been attending Speed Week since 2010 and have always enjoyed taking pinup girls out there to shoot. This year Sweet as Candie, Brettie Page and Lola LaBamba made the trip out with me. We needed a 4th gal for this shoot and were lucky to meet Andi out on the salt. Special thanks to my friend Brian for the use of his hot rod. Thank you SCTA for your continued efforts and dedication.

Poised Von J is a published Pin up and Hair Artist. She adopted the Rockabilly Lifestyle 15 years ago and her passion for vintage hairstyling led her to be a full time Hairdresser and own an all retro inspired barbershop and salon known as Avila’s. She is a member of The Avilette’s and an American Pomade Girl ambassador. Poised Von J is a vintage enthusiast at heart and enjoys meeting new people!
