This week’s Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week at RacingJunk is vegan aerialist and pole dancer Candace Cane! She's taught at the Aeriform Arts Studio in Los Angeles, performed with the Blazing Saddles and Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show and is the vixen in more than a dozen high-profile music videos. Here you see Candace posing with Jorge Valdovinos’ 1972 Gran Torino Sport, photographed by the visionary Shane Karns at Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show!
Candace has enjoyed years of modeling and is continually developing her style. Let’s learn a few of her personal tips for nailing a shot!
TONYA KAY: What can our emerging-model fans do to set themselves up for success when working with a photographer?
CANDACE CANE: Study. Look up examples of the photographer’s previous work to get a feel for their style. Also research other models in magazines and online to pull inspiration for posing.
TONYA KAY: What type of demeanor and communication from a photographer do you work best with?
CANDACE CANE: I love a photographer who will communicate with me. Having some direction given from the person who sees the image as a whole is extremely helpful. I don’t care for praises after each shot, but I do like an occasional affirmation that the work being done is good.

Tonya didn’t think your site could be any better but hot damn this took it up a couple of notches ! Thank you.
Right? Bob, thanks for knowing our progression. Candace is quite a model and that Gran Torino …
Isn’t there any girls that don’t have black and blue ink injected in their bodies any more???? They remind me of the side shows in the carnivals years ago!!!!
Hey, Alfons. Would you like to post a picture of yourself so we can scrutinize how you’re appearance choices?
A-men to that !!!
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder! Fellow may need eyes or glasses checked. Keep it up Tonya gets better every time you post. AMEN
Thanks, Bob! We are dedicated to preserving classic car history and generating continued classic enthusiasm through our photo shoots. You don’t have to love all our photography, but I’ll never allow someone to insult the human beings creating the material. Let’s keep making great classic car photo shoots and enjoying the great parts of this community.
AS I SAID AMEN ✌🏽🤓
Wow. Candace looks fantastic! And the car is ok to. Good photo shoot.
Tonya “Raw Vegan” Good for you girl. Im convinced vegan is the only thing that will save the planet as population grows. I’ve been vegetarian for 20 years, vegan for 10 and founded Vegans Choice Motorcycle Club to show men that being vegan doesn’t change who you are. If you were a biker, you will still be a biker etc.
Nice work, boy! It’s great to hear from another vegan. 26 years vegan here. Longer veg. High raw for 15. Without even trying, all my performers are also vegan or veg. Imagine my delight! Thank you so much for rallying the v bikers. Where are you out of?
What a great showing of Candace with that awesome Ford Torino. Thanks they’re lovely together
Thanks! I love this set up, too. For all the reasons!
Love the photos! My first car was a ’72 Gran Torino. The best looking year of them all IMO. My compliments on the ratio of car to model.
Rob, the Gran Roino is such a beautiful car! How did yours drive? Thanks for the ratio compliments. A lot of classic car and model photography features the whole car, which is beautiful, but can make the model look very staged and doesn’t give the best close up of her beauty, too. So I really appreciate your ratio compliment – that means a lot!
