Hello, hot rodders! I hope spring has sprung wherever you are and summer is on the verge. Let me know in the comments where you are reading from - I love to know a little more about our pinup and classic car fans!
It is my pleasure to introduce to you this week’s Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week, Candace Cane! Candce is seen here glowing and posing with Art Valeriano's 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, photographed by Shane Karns at Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show!
This was one of my favorite cruise-ins personally because not only did I reveal my own hot rod’s restoration reveal (!) but the whole crew of classic VW enthusiasts showed and I learned a lot about VW through the years, where I hadn’t been exposed to the make so thoroughly in the past. Candace gravitated immediately to Art’s Ghia and what a special automobile it is, so clean, so kept, so purty!
Again,, Shane Karns is behind the camera and I can’t rave enough about his work with colors and ability to make everyone around him feel comfortable, including my models, who know their work is going to shine through his lens. I couldn’t help but include a few additional pics from the party at the cruise in where you’ll see musicians, Ken Weiler and Jarrod Bartock ripping up the throwback rock and roll, blues and rockabilly at the Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show classic car cruise in.

Thanks, Nicki!
As always TOP SHELF AWARD WINNING TOO 🥇
Hi, Bob! I love your spirit!
Candace puts the shine on the Karman Ghia, she makes the car look good. a very pretty lady. the car brings back memories of the Ed Sullivan show, and the little mouse Topo Gigio. Many of the Karman Ghia were enhanced with the mouse whiskers and eyelashes.
Oh, my gosh, this is gold. I’ve never seen Ed Sullivan, but are you telling me there was a mouse that was an automobile on the show?
not a car, but a puppet character that Ed was very fond of. when I was a kid, there was many of the little Karman Ghias with that look on them. they decorated the cars in homage to the at that time famous little mouse. there are some videos of Topo on YouTube. seeing the character makes sense of the cars getting accented. I guess it would be similar to how Herbie the Love Bug had his #53 and stripes added to many white bugs. I also give a huge hand to Candace Cane, she really adds the wow factor to this group of photos. please pass that along, and have a great Memorial Day weekend. until the next time…
I’ll let Candace know you are a fan for sure! And Mike, I checked out Topo and wow, I see it and get it! Thank you for that education on media and auto history!
I don’t know much, but what I know, I know. (an old guy once told me that, seems he was right.)
Tonya does she have sister that lives in Florida?
SHE IS BEAUTIFUL. THE CAR IS OK SHE MAKES IT LOOK GREAT.
We all love Candace Cane!
