Automotive performance fans from across the state of North Carolina descended upon the hallowed grounds of Petty’s Garage this weekend to learn how the experts at this high-performance automotive shop keep blowing the doors off their competition.

Over 200 car lovers lined up their high-quality machines for this speed shop’s very first Performance & Restoration Workshop. During this training session, attendees had an opportunity to take a tour of Petty’s Garage while learning more about quality frame-off restorations, proper suspension setup for a smoother ride and better performance, the steps necessary to build a beast of a motor as well as how the body shop team is able to design and paint those signature Petty rides.

“This whole event was a really cool one because we met our goals of showcasing the wide range of projects that continue to occur at Petty’s Garage, as well as proving just how skilled and knowledgeable our tech guys are here,” said Design Engineer Bradley Sisson. “To top it all off, we are opening our doors up to a few fellow automotive junkies who still don’t know about Petty’s Garage.”

“My friends and I decided to come down here from Summerfield, N.C. to check out all the great stuff that Petty is building in terms of all the high-performance and new age muscle cars that they are both designing and selling,” said Sean Dwyer.
“I actually wanted to come down here and meet some of the techs while learning more about the new techniques that they are using to both build and restore these machines,” said Clint Babcock.
“I have always been a fan of Richard Petty, and as a result I have brought a few of my babies here to let the skilled staff keep them at their best,” said Jerry Parham. “That is exactly why I wanted to show my support by attending this event.”

“We are so happy that the first event of this nature was such a success here at Petty’s Garage,” said CEO Russ Stellfox. “After seeing the excitement that was created at this event, we are already ready to start planning the next tech day.”
