If you’re going to make a big announcement in the world of race and performance parts, the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show is the place to do it. Paul Lee, President of Wharton Automotive group which includes McLeod Racing, FTI Performance, and Silver Sport Transmissions, is no stranger to such announcements at the race industries annual gathering, having utilized it in the past to kick off his return to racing. This announcement carries similar weight: Lee and his partners are eliminating the middle man with the launch of FTI Performance Parts, a performance torque converter and automatic transmission parts warehouse which will be based in Philadelphia.
Citing the obvious need for quicker access to quality parts, Lee brought FTI leader Greg Samuel, founder of FTI Converters, and Ken Kelly Jr. who will be managing the day to day of the warehouse, together to greet the press and unveil just a few of the products that will be available.
“I’m over-the-top excited about this new venture.” says Paul Lee. “We, as a company, have been wanting to enter this automotive aftermarket space for a long time. Like our competitors, we’ve had a lot of trouble in the last few years getting parts on time for our torque converter and transmission business. So, we decided that with the right team, we can provide all of us in this market with quality parts, excellent customer service, and the right prices. Having Greg and Ken Jr on our team gives me all the confidence in the world that we will deliver to our customers.”
“Customer service is what we have to offer,” says Greg Samuel. “There are a lot of quality parts manufacturers out there, but no one will provide the level of service that we will provide. Being in this industry my entire working career has taught me that customer service is everything. We create relationships.” Check out the video of the announcement:
