NHRA Video Game Arrives in August

There’s only a short wait before NHRA’s new video game premiers on August 26, 2022. Produced for PlayStation4, Xbox Series XJS, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, NHRA: Speed For All is intended to be the definitive drag racing video game. It’s already available for pre-order at major retailers for $49.99.

The new game features five NHRA vehicle classes, allowing gamers to build, race and prove their skills in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Pro Mod and Super Modified categories and  with appropriate racing vehicles. Many of the sport’s top rivals are participating, with 38 NHRA drivers already lined up. They include John and Brittany Force, Antron Brown, Steve Torrence, Erica Enders, Greg Anderson and the sport’s most recent Funny Car winner Ron Capps.

The game will utilize real NHRA tracks, including Bristol Dragway, The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, zMax Dragway, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, and Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, among others. This will be a physics-based gameplay that allows gamers to experience the authentic speed, depth and feel of real championship drag racing, NHRA said. Gamers can earn backing from sponsors like Goodyear, Summit Racing Equipment and Lucas Oil, among others.

The game allows single-player career mode that balances team management, research and development, tuning and vehicle customization across multiple racing seasons. Gamers can charge their competitive sides by challenging others to beat their best times, using asynchronous online multiplayer leaderboards. And more important, gamers can take on all challengers with intense local split-screen multiplayer action, but this aspect is only available on PlayStation and Xbox.

Truly dedicated NHRA fans will be sure to grab the Deluxe or Ultimate editions of NHRA: Speed for All – which will be available to purchase later this summer, exclusively via digital download on the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop and Steam. These editions retail for $59.99 and $79.99, respectively and are packed with both the base game and additional, specially designed vehicle models, driver suits, vehicle haulers and parachutes.

The Deluxe Edition comes loaded with the bonus John Force Racing Pack, which puts players in control of legendary racer and 16-time champion John Force’s eponymous team. The Ultimate Edition ups the ante, featuring everything in the Deluxe Edition, plus the Battle Ready Pack, Moonshot Pack, Electro Blitz Pack and the Nitro Fire Pack. These last packages are only available on the NHRA: Speed for All Ultimate Edition game.

This new platform is being introduced by Minneapolis, MN third-party publisher of console and mobile games GameMill Entertainment. GameMill is a source of entertaining and fun games for all ages and appeals to passionate fans around the globe and of all ages.
