NHRA officials announced today that the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series will be showcased on FOX Sports 1 (FS2) and FOX Sports 2 (FS2) for 16 races throughout the season.

FS2 will make a one hour program of Lucas Oil Series events available in primetime after each national event. Over the course of the year, each of these programs will re-air multiple times on FOX Sports 1 (FS1). If you are interested in watching these, just check your local listings.

Races from the series will air on FOX Sports Racing for viewers in Canada and the Caribbean. They will also be available through the live streaming app FOX Sports GO.

“The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series is where many champions hone their skills during the course of the season and is a valuable segment of the NHRA,” said NHRA president Peter Clifford. “The broadcasts on FS2 allow them the opportunity to showcase their skills and broaden the reach of the series.”

With categories including Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car, Competition Eliminator and Super Stock, the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series is NHRA’s marquee Sportsman series. Many successful NHRA drivers got their starts in this series before moving on to the Mello Yello series; Shawn Langdon, Courtney Force, Erica Enders, Brittany Force, Alexis DeJoria and Jeg Coughlin number among these.

The first Lucas Oil Series telecast will air March 2, 9-10 p.m. on FS2.
