NASCAR’s home track will play host to both the Cup and XFINITY series this weekend. This is the third playoff race for the XFINITY Series and the first race of the Round of 12 for the Cup.
Friday Looks to be Fun-Filled

No official racing will take place this Friday, but the Cup drivers will be on the track competing to see who gets the pole and pit position selections. As an added benefit and fun for fans, the NASCAR drivers’ wives and girlfriends will take to the track in a lap Bandolero style race. Known as “The Better Half Dash,” this 25-lap event will benefit Motor Racing Outreach. Friday night concludes with the heart-pounding NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. This non-points race will give one driver bragging rights on the Charlotte frontstretch quarter-mile oval.
