Mitzi’s Motor Mavens: Starrcat at the Bonneville Salt Flats

Starrcat is this week's Motor Maven, fresh from her trip to the Salt and full of awe for the scenery and the amazing vehicles she saw there.

Before embarking on my trip to Bonneville, I did not know what to expect. All I knew was that it was covered in salt, historical speed racers set records here, and to take SUNSCREEN. The trip there was fun and interactive with my friends. As soon as we arrived in Wendover, I was so amazed by this underrated wonder of the world. The feeling that overcame me was enthralling, stopping me in my tracks to embrace this majestic landscape. It was as if the Salt Flats personally invited me to take part in its scenery and history.

We we're unable to see any of the races, but we were able to see iconic Roadsters, Coupes, trucks, and Streamliners. Along with being up close and personal with these incredible vehicles, the people you meet and bonds you make are unforgettable. It seems as if the Salt gave them the invitation as well, and we all share such a passionate appreciation for this wonder of the world. Having experienced this made me fall in love, and want to return in the years to come. Thank you Mitzi for the invitation and the memories I will hold forever.
