Mitzi’s Motor Mavens: Rachel Maier

This week, Mitzi's Motor Maven is Valley Girl Rachel Maier -- the Central California Valley, that is.

Rachel Maier was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She grew up loving all thing fancy and all things girly, while also not wanting to be apart of the norm. At 17 she moved in Ventura County where she attended Cal State Channel Islands. During that time she found herself finally being able to express herself. It was then where she honed in on her love for pinup. She started modeling and began participating in pinup contest throughout Ventura County at the all the great car shows around. Between the cars, the music, and the babes, she was hooked! After earning a Bachelor's degree in Business she attended Makeup Designory School in Burbank, CA, receiving a certification in Multimedia Makeup Artistry. Soon after Rachel moved to Colorado where she started a new life with her husband, tattoo artist Philip Maier. Together they have two beautiful kids, Madeline and Philip IV.

Rachel started making a name for herself as a bridal makeup and hair artist around the western slope. Most recently she added licensed esthetician to her name, and has been working as a micro blading eyebrow artist as well as continuing makeup work for brides, boudoir and pinup photo shoots.In 2018 Rachel was chosen as a finalist of the Miss Viva Las Vegas pinup contest winning the title of Best Hair. She continues to live her love of pinup and vintage, while occasionally getting behind the camera and attending car shows in her '48 five window Chevy pickup.
