Jay Payne Survives Another Frightening Crash

Veteran Lucas Oil drag racing driver Jay Payne reminded spectators the dangers that coincide with this sport last week while qualifying for the NHRA Division 7 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Preliminary reports show that the axle broke on Payne’s ride shortly after take off causing him to spin out of control, take down the tree in his lane, roll and see the underside of his car separate in a matter of seconds.

While this is one of the many frightening crashes that Payne has been involved in over the last few years, he was once again able to walk away unscathed. The Payne team was also able to quickly make repairs and get their driver back on track later in the day.

We wish Jay Payne the best of luck the rest of his 2015 season and hope that he can find his way to more victory celebrations than to track medics.
