Day 6 of the Hot Rod Power Tour took place in Bettendorf, Iowa right along the Mississippi River. Cars were backed up on the Memorial Bridge for what seemed like miles, and people were still arriving even after the official event had concluded.
The event space next to the Isle of Capri riverboat casino played host to a ton of excellent hot rods and muscle cars, but my favorite vehicle for today has to be “Winnie,” a Winnebago that’s always ready for a party.
Winnie doesn’t look like anything special from the outside (except for that mini bar out back), but once you get inside, you’ll find art deco seats, a popcorn maker mounted on the wall and a bar area; all the essentials for throwing a great mobile party.
We’re heading to Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin tomorrow for the final stop of the Hot Rod Power Tour. Alas, all good things must come to an end.
