The Goodguys 2019 season is here! The awesome auto action is getting into gear starting this weekend, March 8-10 at Fort Worth’s Texas Motor Speedway with the 9th Spring Lone Star Nationals.
With more than 2,000 vehicles scheduled to appear on display, this season-sparking event – like all Goodguys get-togethers – provides a plethora of neat features for all in attendance. This year, we plan to highlight some of our favorites from among these.
The weekend begins with Goodguys AutoCross, where Hot Rods, Muscle Cars & Trick Trucks compete on a timed road course, as well as the 16 car “Lone Star Shootout.” Next is the Nitro Thunderfest Dragster exhibition, where Dragsters entertain excited spectators with the sounds of nitro burning. Don’t forget your earplugs – it’s not called Thunderfest for nothing! The Burn Out Competition on Saturday is a can’t-miss feature, with tires spinning and smoking up a storm. Winners are determined by crowd response, so make some noise for your favorites! Live music will be played from 11am-1pm on the Goodguys stage as well. The night concludes with a cruise around the Speedway.
All American Sunday is the place to show off your American-made ride, regardless of the year. The Winner’s Circle will be from 8am-1pm – there, you can see recipients of Goodguys Awards like 2019 MSD Muscle Car of the Year Finalist, Goodguys Pick, Builder’s Choice Top 10 and more! The Awards Program, the highlight of every Goodguys event with over 80 awards, rounds out the weekend.
