The 6th season of the OPTIMA’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car Series continued last weekend at Florida's Daytona International Speedway. The series draws the best of the best in street-legal cars, SUVs and trucks to seven tracks spread the USA, each driver hoping to qualify for the 12th annual OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational.
Chris Smith of Smitty's Custom Automotive, Ltd took the win in the Classic Car Liquidators GTV Class. Cliff Elliott ruled the OPTIMA Batteries GT Class, and Cody Mason finished first in the new Outlaw Class. Jamie Elliott both won the TCI Engineering First Timer's award and claimed victory in the Holley EFI GTL Class. Jeff Schwartz of Schwartz Performance Inc. in the GTC Class and Dr. Karen Waters Thomas in the OPTIMA Chargers GTE Class took first place awards as well, as did Steve Kepler in the RECARO GTS Class.
