Welcome to Part II of the Memories in May Show. We had so many great entries, we made a second gallery so it's easier to navigate through. If you haven't already, check out Part I.
We kick off gallery 2 of Memories in May with Bob Funke's gorgeous and pristine '59 Chevy Bel-Air.
Ron Mucci STILL misses this beautiful beast of a drag racer built on the body of a 1981 Corvette.

"1970 T100R old school chopper
In an effort to relive my misspent youth, after a 30 year hiatus I picked up a basket caseTriumph 500. The bike was missing so many hard to find parts, my only option was to build a period chopper. After many hours, part fabrication and swap meet searches, here’s the result. Runs and rides just like it was the ‘70’s-a reminder that technology dos improve the breed."

TH 400
I’m the 3rd owner of this factory stock 73 GTO, 1 year only colonnade body style and 1of only 4,806 produced in 1973, by far the lowest production number of any year of the GTO. I had one in the 70’s and always regretted selling it so after an 8 year search I finally found an unmolested original example in October 2016, complete with the original owners title and 2 build sheets. The car is all original with one repaint in the factory Ascot Silver color. I have had the engine rebuilt with all new components, a complete roller assembly, MSD ignition, hooker headers, had the entire A/C system replaced with new components and I also repainted the Rallye II 15 in. wheels. The 400 now puts out 355 hp and 400 ft. lbs. of torque, quite an improvement over the 230 hp it came with when new. Won’t let this one get away!!

Steven Piantieri - 1965 Ford Mustang fastback, vintage race car (GTR 350 Tribute)
Notice the decal on the rear quarter panels with 3 horses: I used to HPDE a Ferrari (represented by the prancing horse on its hind legs) now I road race a Ford (symbolized by the galloping horse on level ground), while the third, the middle horse, is symbolic of my transition from one car/horse to the other.
Please also notice the dinosaur eyes for headlight covers, suggestive of racing an obsolete 57 year old creature with 460hp, no traction control, skinny wheels & tires, no ABS, obsolete manual brakes, archaic Toploader manual transmission, antiquated Kelsey-Hayes brakes, no driver’s aids or ‘creature comforts’ of any type. Man-handling this ancient beast is not for the weak of heart, much like driving a drunken noisy dinosaur.
My steed is always clean, competitive, well-prepared, and ready to rumble with SCCA, HSR, and SVRA.
