A long-standing business in the classic automobile and street rods world suffered a major loss Saturday. Following a fire at Advanced Plating in Nashville, TN, five buildings that housed this company’s 33-year-old business – which offered some of the finest chrome and powder coating materials – burned to the ground. This caused production to cease at the successful business owned by husband-wife team Steve and Sheri Traci.
While no one was injured in this four-alarm blaze, the hazardous chemicals that this company uses to restore some of the most beautiful classic hot roads on the road today grabbed the attention of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Members of the organization did everything they could to ensure the nearby Cumberland River was not affected.
According to Steve Traci, the main hub of Advanced Plating is almost completely destroyed. It’s still unclear how this fire started. Despite this disaster, the upbeat owner said that he and his wife refuse to give up on their dream to see this business be a success far into the future.
Our very best wishes go out to this business and its owners, and we hope that Advanced Plating will be back in operation very soon. Stay tuned to RacingJunk.com as we continue to follow this breaking news story as it unfolds.
