Dodge’s Electrifying Leap: Unveiling the 2024 Charger Daytona

Dodge is revving up the automotive world with a groundbreaking announcement: the debut of the world’s first electric muscle car and the brand’s inaugural multi-energy muscle car, the all-new Dodge Charger. This next-generation vehicle electrifies a legend, promising to maintain its status as the quickest and most powerful muscle car globally.

Leading the charge is the all-new, all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack. With a staggering 670 horsepower under the hood, it’s anticipated to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, while also boasting an estimated quarter-mile time of 11.5 seconds. Joining the lineup is the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, delivering 496 horsepower of electrifying performance.

One of the most significant features of the new Dodge Charger lineup is the inclusion of standard all-wheel drive across all models. This move enhances traction and handling, ensuring unparalleled performance on the road. The Charger will offer a range of powertrain options, including the 550-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. and the 420-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O., powered by the innovative 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane engine.

Tim Kuniskis, Dodge Brand CEO at Stellantis, expressed excitement about the Charger’s new era, stating, “The electrified 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack delivers Charger Hellcat Redeye levels of performance and announces its presence through the world’s first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, while Hurricane engine-powered Dodge Charger SIXPACK models will give the Brotherhood of Muscle a gas option that produces better horsepower and torque numbers than the outgoing 5.7- and 6.4-liter HEMI engines.”

Enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that two-door coupe versions of the all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T are set to enter production in mid-2024. Meanwhile, production of the four-door Daytona Scat Pack and R/T models, alongside the gas-powered two-door Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. and four-door Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O., is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2025. All manufacturing will take place at the Windsor (Ontario) Assembly Plant.

This bold move by Dodge aligns perfectly with the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, emphasizing electrified and more efficient propulsion systems. The aim is to reduce the global carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 and achieve net carbon zero by 2038, cementing Dodge’s commitment to sustainable innovation while continuing to push the boundaries of performance.
