The automotive world is buzzing as Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson, joined by Emmy-winning TV host Mike Rowe, TV personality and custom auto designer Colby Donaldson, and the talented team from Ohio-based SugarCreek, revealed a unique 1962 Dodge Power Wagon at the 2024 SEMA Show. This meticulously crafted, one-of-a-kind powerhouse, built with over 1,000 horsepower and rugged, fully utilitarian styling, is set to cross the auction block for charity at Barrett-Jackson’s 2025 Scottsdale Auction from January 18-26 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. All proceeds from the sale will support the mikeroweWORKS Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting skilled trades education.

Iconic Power Wagon “Project S.W.E.A.T.” Supports Skilled Trades

Craig Jackson expressed the privilege of unveiling “Project S.W.E.A.T.” alongside his friend Mike Rowe, who has long championed the importance of skilled labor. “The one-of-a-kind custom workhorse truck showcases SugarCreek and Colby’s tremendous creativity and craftsmanship,” Jackson said. “This Power Wagon is a powerful emblem of American ingenuity and determination, making it a perfect fit to support Mike’s foundation, which dedicates its efforts to uplifting the next generation of skilled trade workers.”

Built by John Richardson’s skilled team at SugarCreek, “Project S.W.E.A.T.” is a vision of rugged sophistication with advanced engineering, boasting a custom-built supercharged HEMI V8 engine that generates over 1,000 horsepower, seamlessly paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The truck stands on a late-model Dodge RAM 4WD chassis, with Dodge RAM TRX-inspired body styling and customizations that include a spacious crew cabin with rear-opening suicide doors, a hand-built utility flatbed, and a refined interior upholstered in leather and Alcantara.

A Labor of Love from Colby Donaldson and SugarCreek’s Elite Craftsmen

Renowned for his roles in hit television shows and a passion for design, Colby Donaldson led the creative vision for “Project S.W.E.A.T.” Drawing from his background in engineering and racing, Donaldson collaborated closely with SugarCreek’s artisans to bring the Power Wagon to life. The truck took over 9,000 hours to complete, a testament to the expertise and dedication of the Washington Court House, Ohio, team, all with the mission of advancing skilled labor across America.

Mike Rowe, whose mikeroweWORKS Foundation has granted numerous scholarships to skilled labor students, praised the partnership: “The chance to work with John’s talented team at SugarCreek and Colby to build this custom Dodge truck, and to partner with Barrett-Jackson to help auction it in support of skilled labor, is tremendous,” Rowe stated. “This project isn’t just about the truck; it’s about building a legacy for the next generation. We’re raising awareness for an American workforce in need, and this truck will play a pivotal role in that mission.”

The mikeroweWORKS Foundation: Bridging the Skilled Labor Gap

The mikeroweWORKS Foundation, founded by Mike Rowe, focuses on closing the skills gap by offering scholarships to individuals passionate about learning a trade through its Work Ethic Scholarship Program. This truck sale is another initiative by the foundation to support the future of skilled labor across the nation.
