The 2025 Corvette ZR1 is redefining what’s possible for production cars, setting five new lap records across some of the most demanding tracks in the United States. With four General Motors test drivers behind the wheel, the ZR1’s track tour is a statement of dominance in the high-performance world.

ZR1’s Record-Breaking Lap Times

Equipped with the ZTK Performance Package, a pre-production Corvette ZR1 tore through these circuits, posting blistering times:

  • Watkins Glen Long Course: 1:52.7 – Driver: Bill Wise, Lead Performance Engineer, Chassis Controls
  • Road America: 2:08.6 – Driver: Brian Wallace, Lead Vehicle Dynamics Engineer
  • Road Atlanta: 1:22.8 – Driver: Chris Barber, Lead Development Engineer
  • VIR Full Course: 1:47.7 – Driver: Aaron Link, Global Vehicle Performance Manager
  • VIR Grand Course: 2:32.3 – Driver: Aaron Link

ZR1’s Aerodynamic & Performance Upgrades

The ZTK Performance Package enhances aerodynamics and handling with:

  • High-downforce carbon-fiber rear wing
  • Front dive planes and a tall hood Gurney lip
  • Underbody strakes replacing standard underwing stall Gurney
  • Stiffer suspension tuning
  • Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R ZP tires

Power & Speed: Corvette ZR1’s Performance Numbers

With a 1,064-horsepower twin-turbocharged V8, the ZR1 isn’t just fast—it’s a game-changer. Its track-tested performance figures include:

  • 233 mph top speed
  • 0-60 mph in 2.3 seconds
  • 9.6-second quarter-mile

These numbers put the ZR1 ahead of any production car under $1 million, proving that Chevrolet continues to deliver world-class performance at an unbeatable value.

The Team Behind the Records

The GM drivers responsible for these lap times bring a combined 65 years of GM Level 6 experience, with Nürburgring Industry Pool certification and extensive racing backgrounds. Their expertise helped push the Corvette ZR1 to its limits on some of America’s most challenging tracks.

“Corvette ZR1 continues to showcase how this nameplate elevates at every corner,” said Corvette Executive Chief Engineer Tony Roma. “From design, engineering, development, validation, to driving and setting incredible lap records like these – we do it all in-house.”

Corvette ZR1 Pricing & Availability

Starting at $174,995 for the 1LZ coupe and $184,995 for the 1LZ convertible, the 2025 Corvette ZR1 enters production in Q2 2025 at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky. Chevrolet will begin accepting orders later this month.

For enthusiasts seeking supercar-level performance without the seven-figure price tag, the ZR1 stands as the ultimate evolution of the Corvette legacy.
