We have talked to a lot of drivers here on Behind The Wheel, many that we would consider heroes on the track, but there are a few that are the very definition of a champion in every sense of the word.
Unless you have had your head in the sand for the last couple of months you are more than aware that this world has been in the middle of a global pandemic. One where those who we once thought were the coolest people in the world became an afterthought and people like healthcare workers and grocery store clerks became more important than ever. So, when we were given the opportunity to talk to one of these unsung heroes who spends her free time burning up tracks across the country in her 2008 C6ZO6 we jumped at the chance.
Despite not growing up around racing, Tracy Gaudu fell in love with Corvettes at a very young age. Although she wouldn’t own her first popular Chevrolet sports car until her late 30’s, after buying her first little red Corvette it wouldn’t be long before she was finding her way onto the autocross racing scene. Today, this heroic Physician’s Assistant, who spends most of her days helping others stay healthy, is also becoming well-known in the racing scene. Click on the SoundCloud below to find out why the name Gaudu is sure to be remembered in the history books for years to come.
